Stunned and Overwhelmed

My poem, “To All My Facebook Friends“, was finally posted in Freshly Pressed a couple of days ago, and I still can’t wrap my mind around these shocking figures:

1. So far, it’s been liked 415 times!
2. You, my dear followers, have grown from about 200 to almost 600!
3. It’s been reblogged over 40 times!
4. I have received more than a hundred comments.

To say that I am absolutely stunned and overwhelmed would be an understatement!

But one thing I am brimming with right now is this — gratitude. I am so grateful and honored by all of your responses! I will reply to each of your comments on Saturday or Sunday. I have to run right now to attend the 11th Lamiraw Creative Writing Workshop, one of the major writing workshops here in the Philippines. I am so fortunate to be chosen as one of the fellows of this workshop.

I hope to get to know each and every one of you. Till then, take care, and keep writing!

    1. Hi Akeem,

I owe it to you guys! I think it was first re-blogged in your site, and then one of the editors from WordPress.com noticed it.

Thank you so much! You guys are awesome. I love your blog!

      Take care,
      Dante

  1. Congrats. I am one if those likers and a new follower. It is refreshing to know that other people in our society feel the same way. I still write letters sometimes, but I think a wifi/phone free vacation is well overdue.

    1. Hi Jenny,

I’m glad we still have post offices. It means we all can still write letters to one another.

Thank you so much for dropping by, for reading my poem, and for following my blog! I followed your blog as well.

      Take care,
      Dante
