Great minds talk about people, too

“Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.”

Obviously, Jane Austen has a great mind. Yet, she loves to write about people. Her novels are all about people: their hopes and fears, their virtues and vices, their perfections and flaws, their tastes and preferences, and their personality and character.
